C-Section Recovery Specific Care

Gentle handling, incision monitoring and safe movement after a caesarean.

Recovery from a caesarean is abdominal surgery recovery, and the first fortnight decides how comfortable the following months feel. Our caregivers focus on protecting the incision: keeping the dressing area clean and dry, watching for redness, discharge, gaping or fever, and reminding the mother to support her abdomen when she coughs, laughs or sneezes.

Movement is the other half of the work. We help her log-roll out of bed rather than sit straight up, stand and walk short distances several times a day to reduce clot risk and wind pain, and find feeding positions — side-lying or with a pillow across the lap — that keep the baby's weight off the scar.

This service is for mothers discharged after an elective or emergency caesarean, especially those managing pain medication schedules, limited lifting ability and a newborn at the same time.

Because handling matters more here than anywhere else, Trayi briefs the caregiver on the discharge summary before day one, keeps a simple log of pain scores and incision appearance for the mother's follow-up visit, and escalates anything concerning to the family straight away instead of waiting for the next appointment.
