Post-Delivery and Mother-Baby Care

Mother's Postpartum Recovery Care

Rest support, wound and stitch monitoring, and nutrition guidance for the mother.

A new mother resting while cradling her sleeping newborn

Postpartum recovery care puts the mother first. In the weeks after birth her body is healing while the household is adjusting to a newborn, and the easiest thing to lose is rest. Our caregiver takes over the repetitive work — helping the mother move safely, supporting her to and from the washroom, keeping perineal or abdominal stitches clean and dry, and watching for warning signs like unusual bleeding, fever, foul-smelling discharge or swelling that should be reported to her doctor.

This service suits mothers in the first six weeks after a normal or assisted delivery, first-time mothers with no experienced help at home, and families where both parents are working through the recovery period.

A typical day begins with a check on how she slept, pain levels and bleeding, followed by help with bathing and changing, a warm nutritious meal plan discussed with the family, and protected sleep windows while the caregiver watches the baby. Notes are kept simply so anything unusual is visible early.

What is different at Trayi is that recovery is treated as a plan, not a favour. We agree on rest hours, review them weekly with the family, and adjust as she regains strength — rather than letting the mother's needs quietly slip behind the baby's.
