Newborn Baby Massage and Bathing

Safe, unhurried baby massage and bath with proper temperature and head support.

A caregiver giving a newborn a gentle oil massage on a soft towel at home

Newborn massage and bathing looks simple and is easy to get wrong. Our caregivers work at the baby's pace with warm oil and light strokes across the limbs, back and tummy, watching for cues that the baby has had enough, and never applying pressure to the fontanelle or pulling at joints to straighten them.

The bath follows with everything prepared in advance: water tested to a comfortable warm rather than hot, a towel-lined surface, one hand always supporting the head and neck, careful attention to skin folds, and cord-stump care kept dry until it separates. The baby is dried, dressed and settled immediately so there is no long exposure or crying.

This is for babies from the first week onwards, and especially for parents who want the routine done reliably while they learn it themselves.

The Trayi difference is teaching alongside doing. Parents are welcome to watch, ask questions and take over steps whenever they feel ready, and we will not push oil-in-ears, forceful limb stretching or any practice that a paediatrician would object to.
