Lactation Support and Breastfeeding Guidance

Practical help with latch, positioning, supply concerns and expressing.

A caregiver guiding a new mother with breastfeeding positioning

Most breastfeeding difficulty in the first fortnight is mechanical rather than mysterious: a shallow latch, an awkward position, a baby too sleepy to finish a feed, or engorgement making attachment painful. Our caregivers sit through actual feeds and work on those specifics — deepening the latch, trying cradle, cross-cradle, side-lying or football holds, using warm compresses and gentle expression before a feed, and cool relief afterwards.

Supply worries get the same practical treatment. We look at feed frequency, output over twenty-four hours and weight-gain trends from the paediatrician rather than guessing, and we cover hand expressing, pump setup, safe milk storage and paced bottle feeding when a mother is returning to work.

This support is for mothers with painful or unsustainable feeding, mothers of preterm or low-weight babies, and anyone mixed feeding who wants it to be planned rather than accidental.

Trayi does not sell a doctrine. If a mother chooses formula, partly or entirely, we support that decision competently, and we tell her clearly when a symptom — a cracked bleeding nipple, a hard painful lump with fever — needs a doctor rather than a caregiver.
